Child Dental Services

Most pediatric doctors recommend children have their first visit with a dentist at age 2. We agree!!! As premiere Louisville pediatric dentists, Dr. Chuck Skinner and Dr. Brian Chudleigh  work with children every day. They are trained and equipped to help most patients from ages 2 to 99.

Below is a guide to what routine services may be needed according to age.

Ages 0-2

Ages 0-2:

No dental needed unless otherwise instructed by pediatric doctor

Age 2-4

Age 2-4:

Happy Visit! There may be a cleaning and an exam done at this visit if the child feels comfortable. No x-rays at these appointments.

This visit is usually to help children meet the Dr. and hygienist, get used to the dental operatory and the instruments used (for instance, Mr. Thirsty and the “Squirt gun”).

These visits are usually during a parents hygiene visit and will be at no charge unless we are able to do a full cleaning at that time. Please let us know when scheduling your hygiene appointment so we can allot enough time for the happy visit as well.
